What is a flange?

Flanges are also called flange flanges or flanges. Flange is the connection part between pipe and pipe. There are also flanges used for the inlet and outlet of the equipment connected between the pipe ends, and also used for the connection between two equipment such as the reducer flange. Flange connection or flange connector refers to a detachable connection in which flanges, gaskets and bolts are connected to each other as a combined sealing structure. Pipe flange refers to the flange used for the pipeline in the pipeline installation, and is used for the inlet and outlet flanges of the equipment in the equipment. The flange has holes and bolts to fasten the two flanges. The flanges are sealed with cushions. Flanges are divided into threaded connection flanges, welding flanges and clamping flanges. Flanges are used in pairs, wire flanges can be used for low-pressure pipes, and welded flanges can be used for pressures above 4 kg. Add a gasket between the two flanges and fasten them with bolts. The thickness of the flange for different pressures is different, and the bolts used are also different. When the pumps and valves are connected with the pipeline, the parts of these equipments also form the corresponding flange shape, which is also called flange connection. The connecting part that uses bolts to connect two planes and closes at the same time is usually called a "flange", such as the connection of a ventilation pipe. This kind of part can be called a " flange part ".

Flange connection is to fix two piping, piping and equipment respectively between a flange, add flange pads between the two flanges, and fasten with bolts to complete the connection. Some pipes and equipment already have flanges and flange connections. Flange connection is an important connection method for pipeline construction. The flange connection is easy to use and can withstand greater pressure. In industrial pipelines, flange connections are widely used. In the home, the pipe diameter is small, and the flange connection is not visible at low pressure. In the boiler room and production site, there are flange-connected piping and equipment everywhere.
