Three common vacuum flange specifications

1. CF flange .

The English name of CF flange is ConflatFlang. It is a flange connection for high vacuum, a metal static seal, and can withstand high-temperature baking. ISO-KF vacuum joints are suitable for high vacuum occasions.

Nominal diameters include: DN16, 40, 63, 100, 160, 200, 250.

Manufacturing standards include: ISO3669.

The applicable vacuum degree can reach 10-12 bar.

Flange sealing materials are usually fluorine rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, copper and so on.

The flange is usually 304, 316 stainless steel, etc.

2. National Organization for Standardization-KF.

ISO-KF is a quick release flange for vacuum systems . It consists of the following components: two symmetrically distributed KF flanges , O-rings, centering brackets and clamps. No other tools are needed, just turn the disc nut by hand to loosen or compress the connection. ISO-KF vacuum joint is a small quick-install flange joint, its nominal diameter includes: DN10, 16, 25, 40, 50. Manufacturing standards include DIN28403 and ISO2861.

The applicable vacuum degree can reach 10-8 bar.

Vacuum valve flange sealing materials are usually fluorine rubber, nitrile rubber, silicone resin, EPDM, aluminum, etc.

ISO-KF vacuum joints with flanges, such as 304 and 316 stainless steel, usually consist of flanges, clamps, O-rings and center rings.

3. ISO flange .

ISO flanges and pipes can be used in a variety of applications, from atmospheric pressure to high vacuum, and usually require assembly and disassembly. Generally, the diameter of the pipe exceeds 50 mm (2 inches). If fluororubber O-rings are used, they can withstand baking at 150°C. The two common forms of flanges of the National Organization for Standardization are the National Organization for Standardization-K and the National Organization for Standardization-FISO-K. The National Organization for Standardization-F vacuum joint is a large vacuum joint with a nominal diameter of dn63, 100, 160, 200, 250, 320, 400, 500, and 630.

Manufacturing standards include DIN28404 and ISO1609.

It can be used where the vacuum is as high as 10-8 bar.
